An 18-year-old boy was found outside a basketball court armed with a knife, alerting multiple police officers to the scene. The teenager was subsequently restrained to the ground by police officers. No one was injured in the incident.

According to a video posted by the sgfollowsall account on social media Instagram on Sunday (February 8), at least four police officers worked together to subdue a man to the ground outside the basketball court.

The post did not disclose the date of the incident or why the man was holding the knife. It only stated that the incident occurred at 9 pm at a basketball court in Fajia District, Bukit Panjang.

In response to Lianhe Zaobao’s inquiry, the Singapore Police Force said that the police received a notification at 8:40 pm on Saturday (7th) that police assistance was needed in the Jelapang Road area of ​​Bukit Panjang.

An 18-year-old boy was arrested for carrying an offensive weapon in a public place, and the police recovered a knife as evidence in the case. No one was injured in the incident and the police investigation is ongoing.
