Super Amara Bera Bera arrived injured for the match against Morvedre. Three consecutive defeats had led them to lose the leadership of the League … and the bad streak had to be ended. The reaction came in Sagunto, where Imanol Álvarez’s team prevailed to regain the lost course.
A serious first half based on defense allowed them to open a gap in the first minutes, a lead of seven goals gave the team wings. Morvedre had a hard time generating shooting options and when he did, Wiggins appeared with four in the first half. Morvedre found space on the right wing with Palanques (3/3) who scored his team’s second goal in the 17th minute. But Ogonovszky, Tchaptchet and Álvarez were also on target. The San Sebastian team went into halftime with a final goal from Etxeberria, 8-14.
After the restart, Bera Bera gave Morvedre no chance to get into the game. Another 0-3 partial with two goals from Tchaptchet and another from Karsten increased the lead to nine goals 8-17. The San Sebastian team continued to maintain a good defense that helped Wiggins.
