The second game on the second matchday is against Spöck. The previous game ended in a draw. Let’s see if that provided a tailwind. There is a tactical change. This time Long / Hoang play the 1st HD, but can do little against strong opponents. Ihloff / Werner in the 2nd HD also have no chance. Only the women in doubles can hold on to some extent. But Heim / Beissert cannot win either.
As before, Long plays the 1st HE. As before, the first sentence is lost. As before, Long wins the second and also the third. Another strong comeback and a strong game overall. Beissert can also get the DE for the TVH again and provides a glimmer of hope again in the meantime.
Unfortunately, Heim / A. Schmidt cannot match the same performance as before and are finding it much more difficult. Unfortunately, that’s not enough to score many points.
Hoang in the 2nd HE and Ihloff in the 3rd HE are each able to “stick with it” in the first set, but cannot get close to their opponents in the second set and ultimately have to admit defeat. It’s a shame, but the opponents were strong and only gave us a few chances.
