Youth Basketball: U13-U19 League Updates & Highlights

Everyone on the pitch after the Christmas break and Pallacanestro Recanati immediately took center stage with its youth teams.

We begin our recap with the joy of coach Cannuccia’s Under 14 Gold who beat Pollenza 55-46, finding their fourth victory of the season and thus reaching 7th place together with Osimo, PSElpidio, Picchio and Fabriano. In the following trip to Matelica the gialloblu were defeated 61-43 by the hosts Vigor. The DR2 of Montefano tries hard but fails to achieve success, surrendering 76-68 to Civitanova, just as the blitz of the Under 15 Eccellenza team fails to achieve success, abdicating 86-61 in Perugia but retaining seventh place together with Jesi. There was also nothing to be done for the Under 15 Regional team who first closed the home match against Tolentino 54-59 and then lost at the home of Picchio Civitanova. Defeat in the photo finish for the Under 19 Regional team who were beaten 47-46 by Macerata, still remaining in seventh place in the standings. Coach Tarducci’s Under 19 Gold opens the second phase in the best possible way thanks to the large success against Macerata 88-71 (Miccini 15, Micozzi 21, Bonora 23). The first phase of the Under 13 championship of Pallacanestro Recanati in collaboration with Sacrata Porto Potenza ends with a victory. And what a victory at the PalaPrincipi in Porto Potenza for the boys trained by coach Carla Ambrogi! The yellow and blue, for the occasion in complete red and white, after a hard fought match prevailed 42-39 over their friends from Project Basket Osimo, gaining second place in the final standings. A vibrant but at the same time fair match thanks to the exemplary behavior of the two teams and the public present. For the Leopardi-Potenza group they are now heading to the second “JR-NBA” phase.
