Here, the year was once again marked by the great effectiveness of the Bastide Olympic Evening club, which offers the combined practice of volleyball and badminton. Because everyone knows in the village, sporting diversity is concrete, and it is expressed on a daily basis. At the dawn of this new year, the results obtained in recent months demonstrate great enthusiasm. This results in an increased presence in the various departmental competitions. In the ball game as in the team game, volleyball is a sport of exchanges which is characterized by great complementarity on the field. Two complementary sports which broaden the sporting offer across the territory and generate great energy. For Bastide residents, volleyball is the team sport par excellence: “No contact with the opponent and no one keeps the ball,” tell us the athletes who train in the college’s large gymnasium. Indeed, with three touches to return the ball and the ban on making a double touch, they constantly exchange with their partners.

On the playing surface, certain positions give special responsibilities. At the pass, you have to organize the game and put your partners in good attacking conditions: “The Labastide club is doing well, because all the players obviously find themselves in good conditions in order to share the pleasure of the game and the collective,” explains a local elected official.
