Men’s singles
With three French people in the world Top 20, the table promises to be a real battle of the titans. Christo POPOV (BC Fos), crowned in December during the World Tour Finals, will approach the competition with a new status to assume on Normandy soil. Seeded No. 1, he will clearly be the man to beat. An explosive semi-final could pit him against Arnaud MERKLE (Red Star Mulhouse), for a duel at the top.
In the other half of the table, Alex LANIER (ASPTT Strasbourg), title holder and native of the country, will be particularly expected. The first Frenchman to have won a Super 750, the native of Dives-sur-Mer will have to overcome the obstacle of the quarters before considering a potential shock in the semi-final against Toma Junior POPOV (BC Fos). Here again, a very high level confrontation in perspective.
Please note: the four top seeds have all already won the title of French Champion at least once, further proof of the exceptional density of this edition.

Simple dames
In the absence of reigning champion QI Xuefei, the young Anna TATRANOVA (VGA Stella Saint-Maur) takes on the status of favorite. Seeded n°1, the original Franc-Comtoise will nevertheless have to be vigilant. She could indeed find the Strasbourgeoise in the last square Rosy PANCASARI (ASPTT Strasbourg), also highly anticipated.
For his part, Lole COURTOIS (seeded n°3) could face in the quarter-final the very recent selection for the French senior team, Léana LAURENT (ASLBK), before a possible semi-final duel against Romane CLOTEAUX-FOUCAULT (BC Rostren).
The four seeds display the same ambition: to win their first national crown in this table.

Men’s doubles
The brothers, Christo et Toma Junior POPOV (BC Fos) put their title back on the line! Favorites in a particularly tough field, they could find the duo in the final Eloi ADAM/Léo ROSSI (BC Chambly Oise), as in the 2025 edition. Before that, however, the latter will have to go through a potentially contested quarter-final against the young internationals Ewan GOULIN/Arsene SERRE (Val d’Europe Badminton/BA Cholet), then a possible semi-final against the 2023 French Champions, Julien MAIO / Wiliam VILLEGER (Issy-les-Moulineaux BC/BC Fos), also serious candidates for the title.
Julien and William will nevertheless have to be wary of the 2024 U19 European Champions, Thibault GARDON/Tom LALOT TRESCARTE (ASPTT Strasbourg/Racing Club de France), possible quarter-final opponents. Already qualified for this stage of the competition, Maël CATTOEN and Lucas RENOIR (VGA Stella Saint-Maur/Le Volant Airois) could, for their part, cross paths with the POPOV brothers in the semi-final.

Double dames
Specialist in women’s doubles, Margot LAMBERT (Red Star Mulhouse) will try to retain its title in Caen, this time associated with Camille POGNANTE (Red Star Mulhouse). If the pair, favorites in the table, are already shining on the international scene, they have not yet had the opportunity to shine at the French Championships. The girls could find the duo in the quarterfinals Sharone BAUER/Lilou SCHAFFNER (ASPTT Strasbourg), provided that it manages to get out of qualifying. Seed No. 2, Elsa JACOB et Flavie VALLET (BC Fos/Le Volant Airois) will also be serious contenders for the title. Both have already tasted the national podium, but never together. They could meet the ex-international in an expected quarter Téa MARGUERITTEassociated with Carla MARTINEZ (The Flying Airois).
Read two Eva BOUVILLE / Marjolène RAFFIN (BC Chambly Oise/VGA Stella Saint-Maur) and Emmy GUILBARD/Anouk NAMBOT (AC Boulogne-Billancourt/VGA Stella Saint-Maur) finally complete the leading quartet.

Mixed doubles
Reigning French champions, Thom GICQUEL and Delphine DELRUE (Flume Ille Badminton/BC Chambly Oise) will be the big favorites in this mixed draw. In the semi-final, they could cross paths with Grégoire DESCHAMP and Flavie VALLET (Aix Université CB/Le Volant Airois), before a possible shock in the final against the other international duo in great form at the moment, Julien MAIO and Léa PALERMO (Issy-les-MoulineauxBC/BA Cholet), for a poster that promises to be explosive. 2024 French mixed champion, Elsa JACOB (BC Fos) will play this time alongside Natan BOTH (ASPTT Strasbourg). She could meet her former partner with whom she won the title in the quarters, Tom LALOT TRESCARTE (Racing Club de France), associated with Agathe CAVES (VGA Stella Saint Maur). Finally, it will also be necessary to monitor the tandem closely Thibault GARDON/Kathell DESMOTS-CHACUN (ASPTT Strasbourg/BC Fos) entered in qualifying, which could well create a surprise.
