TRAUN/PRESSBAUM. Next Saturday, ASKÖ Traun will face a real test in the 1st Badminton Bundesliga. In the 7th round, the Trauners will meet the current second-placed and defending champion ASV Pressbaum away from home.
For ASKÖ Traun, currently in third place in the table, the duel is of great importance with a view to qualifying for the semi-finals. From Trauner’s perspective, the first leg was extremely successful: with a clear 6-2 win, they beat Pressbaum – albeit against a Lower Austrian team that was not complete at the time.
Manager Herbert Koch’s assessment before the second leg is correspondingly realistic. “We are of course aware of the challenge in the Pressbaumer Hall that the defending champions will present in front of their home crowd,” emphasizes Koch. Nevertheless, the team arrives confident: “We go into the game focused, want to build on the strong performance from the first leg and present ourselves with commitment in Pressbaum.”
From the Trauner perspective, winning a point would be an important step towards the semi-finals. In any case, the anticipation in the team is great: “Our team is looking forward to an exciting Bundesliga game!”
