StrathACTIVE Launches Badminton & Table Tennis

Strathclyde University is offering a weekly opportunity for staff and students to play both badminton and table tennis in a single session, part of its StrathACTIVE programme. The sessions, designed to be accessible to all skill levels, will be held at the Strathclyde Sport facility on Cathedral Street in Glasgow.

New Dual-Sport Session Details

The combined badminton and table tennis sessions are scheduled from 12:00 to 13:00 at Sports Hall 1. The program, created by the Strathclyde Students’ Union, emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming participants regardless of their prior experience or ability. The sessions are open to all staff and students on campus.

Strathclyde Sport, the facility hosting the events, has 18 sports available. The sessions are part of the StrathACTIVE category, which includes categories such as wellbeing, sports, social, health and well-being, and sports and fitness activities.

How to Participate in StrathACTIVE

According to the instructions from the Strathclyde Students’ Union, participants first log in, where a pink ticket box appears. Clicking the “buy” button in that box adds a ticket to their basket.

During the sessions, content may be collected for Instagram and the website. Participants who do not wish to be in any content can let organizers know as they come in, and no photos or videos will include them.
