Badminton in Lamezia Terme is not an improvisation, but a solid reality that is built day after day. Tycke Sport APD officially announces the start of the “Vola Con Noi 2025 edition 2026” project, confirming itself as the winner of the prestigious federal tender promoted by FIBa (Italian Badminton Federation) and Sport and Health for the second consecutive year in the territory.
From the Baddy Cup to the future: the project in schools
After the extraordinary success of the 2025 edition at the Scientific High School of Lamezia Terme – which culminated on 19 December with the Baddy Cup involving around 200 students – Tycke Sport now brings badminton to the little ones. The new project will involve the second and third classes of the “Don Bosco” primary school.
This is a recognition of exceptional value: Tycke was the winner, occupying one of only seven places available in the whole of Italy, an achievement that rewards the technical and planning quality of the association, active with badminton in the Lamezo area since 2014. The path, which sees Tycke in the role of tutor of the institute, will end at the end of March with the Baddy Cup 2026.
Official partner of “RiGenerazioni”: sport against youth discomfort
Tycke Sport further consolidates its role as a primary social actor by announcing its participation as an official partner of the “RiGenerations” project. The initiative focuses on the regeneration of places to counteract the growing disadvantage of young people. The project sees the Municipality of Lamezia Terme intervene as a collaborator and institutional supporter, supported by a network of some of the most qualified partners in the area. Also in this context, badminton will be the prevalent sporting discipline to involve and redevelop the youth social fabric.
A 360-degree commitment: Badminton as an engine of growth
In every project carried out by Tycke Sport, badminton is always the prevailing discipline, used as an educational, inclusive and competitive tool.
● Inclusion and Recovery: Leader of the Carceri 2024 Project at the IPM of Catanzaro (with Lucky Friends and Mamas Lucky) and winner of the “Superabilities” project of the Calabria Region, with badminton the absolute protagonist for the inclusion of people with disabilities and poor people.
● School and Territory: In addition to primary school, the “Junior Active School” will start in February for 28 classes of Don Bosco Middle School. Tycke technicians are also active with SAJ, in the “Casalinuovo” and “Patari–Pascoli” institutes of Catanzaro and in 4 other institutes in the surrounding area, always with a specific focus on badminton.
● Support for Families: Tycke is the recipient of the Family Endowment Fund and accredited for the Sports Vouchers of the Calabria Region, guaranteeing free access to sports.
● Transparency and Seriousness: With 97 members in 2025 and the management of the dedicated “Don Bosco” gym, the association confirms its solidity with the early approval of the budget on the recent 12th January, a sign of managerial correctness that leaves no room for improvisation.
With the wish for an even more successful 2026, Tycke Sport thanks Sport e Salute, National FIBa, FIBa Calabria, the Municipality of Lamezia Terme, the Province, the Calabria Region, the Schools and the entire Calabrian sports community, wishing the city, also with the opening of the new Sports Hall, new growth opportunities for sport and for the territory, through qualified actors actively and incisively present in the territory.
