(Klang 29th) A comprehensive project costing RM850,000ofIt has been completed and is expected to be opened to the public next week with a completely new look and becomeReference for future renovations of other auditoriums

The renovation project for this auditorium belonging to the city hall began in May last year and was completed at the end of last year. It was slightly delayed by about two weeks from the original completion date, but the overall project was not affected.

After the completion of the project, Klang City Councilor Li Xiwen visited the site with officials to understand the overall renovation of the auditorium and inspect the operation of various facilities to ensure that the project met the established standards and future use needs.

He pointed out to the media that the auditorium has undergone an almost complete renovation, covering ground work, exterior repainting, renovation of toilets andinstall closed-circuit television and replace the sound insulation system and air-conditioning system, while upgrading the badminton court to meet international standards, improving outdoor fences, installing solar street lights and repaving asphalt roads, etc.

He said that because the original design of the auditorium did not have an echo elimination function, the sound volume of the broadcast during activities was filled with echo, which greatly affected the quality of the program. Therefore, after this renovation, a sound insulation system was installed to improve the echo problem.

“It is worth mentioning that the floors of the three badminton courts in the auditorium have been fully updated and constructed in accordance with international competition standards. It is expected to provide citizens and sports groups with a more comfortable and professional sports environment.”

Li Xiwen: It is an example of other auditorium renovations

In addition, Li Xiwen said that the auditorium’s air-conditioning system has been fully upgraded from the original system. The original decentralized large-scale air-conditioning has been replaced by a central air-conditioning system, which is delivered through a cloth air-conditioning air supply system to improve the overall cooling efficiency, comfort and user experience.

“The overall color design of the venue is based on the colors of the City Hall logo, using red and yellow to highlight the unique image of the City Hall. ‘Majlis Bandaraya Diraja Klang’ is printed in the middle of the auditorium, and large ‘MBDK’ words can also be seen above.”

He said that there are men’s and women’s toilets at the entrance of the auditorium, and toilets on the left and right sides of the stage, mainly for the convenience of rental units and the public. In the future, beverage vending machines will be added to the auditorium to further enhance convenience.

“According to officials, this auditorium will also serve as a reference example for other auditoriums in the district when undergoing renovations, helping to unify standards and design styles, and improve overall project efficiency and quality of use.”

He added that this is the only hall in the Teluk Glass area, and citizens can rent it to hold badminton activities or various banquets, but at the same time, he hopes that everyone can cherish it properly and make good use of it.

Anyone interested in renting the auditorium can call the City Hall’s Property Management and Assessment Team (03-3359 7449/7448/7446) for details.
