Kenneth Taylor is in the interest of SS Lazio. The Italian club sees the Ajax midfielder as the most important candidate to replace Matteo Guendouziwho is about to leave for Fenerbahçe. Italian sources let us know this VoetbalPrimeur.
It is now known that both Ajax and Taylor are open to a winter transfer. That could happen now. Lazio has taken steps to pick up Taylor from Amsterdam. The Italians will lose Guendouzi to Fenerbahçe in the short term and want to attract a replacement soon. Taylor is emphatically in the picture for this, it sounds from Italy.
On Wednesday, Lazio made quick work of Taylor. The club first reported to the midfielder’s management and made an initial proposal through that route. Now Lazio is also officially in talks with Ajax about a transfer. The fact that Lazio is in a hurry has everything to do with the fact that the Romans want to quickly bring in Guendouzi’s replacement. That replacement must come first before the Italians let Guendouzi go to Turkey.
Taylor has been followed by Lazio for some time, as well as by many other Italian clubs. Last summer, this website reported interest from the entire Italian top in Ajax’s third captain. Napoli recently resurfaced as an interested party, but that is not yet concrete.
Following VoetbalPrimeur, Fabrizio Romano, among others, is now writing about Lazio’s specific interest. In Amsterdam, Taylor has a contract that expires in the summer of 2027. An extension is not currently in the works. Ajax reportedly hopes to retain fifteen to twenty million euros from Taylor.
