Delegation Travels to La Plata for National 3D Archery Finals
Nine archers from Comodoro Rivadavia are traveling to compete in the national 3D championship. The Club de Tiro con Arco Petroquímica delegation heads to the Club Tiro Federal Argentino in La Plata for the October 31 and November 1 tournament, which marks the end of the competitive calendar for the 3D discipline.
Qualification Requirements and Tournament Format
Competitors earned their spots at the national final by participating in various ranking events throughout the year, meeting mandatory homologation and qualification criteria. Saturday features a 24-station qualification round that sets the field for Sunday’s elimination brackets, running through the semifinal and final rounds.
Roster and Category Breakdown for Petroquímica
The nine-athlete roster representing the Comodoro Rivadavia club spans multiple divisions. Fernando Matus, Yevheniy Vdovitchenko, and Víctor Hugo Rodríguez compete in barebow (raso masculino). Luciano Mena and Guillermo Bratovich shoot in the compound division (compuesto masculino), while Ariel Rivas enters the recurve category (recurvo masculino). Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Gabriel Rivas, and club captain Miguel Prat contest the traditional division (tradicional masculino).

Upcoming Field Championship in La Rioja
Following the 3D finals, four members of the Petroquímica contingent will travel to the Asociación de Tiro con Arco de La Rioja for the national field archery finals on November 21 and 22. Juan Carlos Rodríguez, Miguel Prat, Ariel Rivas, and Guillermo Bratovich (compuesto masculino +50) make up that traveling group, as outlined in discussions between club leadership and municipal sports authorities.
Municipal Coordination and Youth Development Classes
Ahead of the national events, club president Miguel Prat met with Hernán Martínez, head of the Comodoro Deportes municipal sports agency, to coordinate travel logistics and review ongoing youth development programs. Prat stated that the municipal agency provides ongoing support for the club’s competitive travel schedule. In tandem with the elite competition preparation, the club organized an introductory archery school running five classes across early October and November to expand youth participation in the sport.
