It will be the match between Spain and Argentinaincluded in Group A, to open at the “Rac Arena” in Perth – in the Italian night between 1st and 2nd January – the fourth edition of the United Cupa mixed team competition which effectively inaugurates the new season of international tennis, broadcast live on SuperTenniss and SuperTenniX. First phase with 18 teams divided into 6 groups: the winner of each of these, plus the two best runners-up, will be promoted to the quarter-finals, in a direct elimination draw.
Returning to Spain-Argentina, we will start (at 3 pm) with the men’s singles match between Jaume Munarn.33 ATP, e Sebastian Baez, n.45 ATP: the balance of direct comparisons is equal with the 28-year-old from Santanyì winning the qualifying round in Buenos Aires in 2021 and the 25-year-old from Baires scoring in the quarterfinals in Santiago de Chile in 2024, again on clay. Following the women’s match between Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, n.41 WTAand Solana Sierra, n.66 WTA: the 23 year old from Villagarcìa de Arousa won in three sets the only precedent with the 21 year old from Mar del Plata, played in the second round on the clay of Madrid in 2024.
