After new star signing Edin Dzeko and goalkeeper Kevin Müller, FC Schalke 04 is reportedly about to make its next big-name signing. As Sky and “WAZ” report, former Cologne midfielder Dejan Ljubičić is set to move to the leaders of the 2nd Bundesliga. Accordingly, only the final contract details need to be clarified.

The 28-year-old Austrian from Dinamo Zagreb is expected to cost around one million euros and sign a three-year contract. From 2021 until last summer, Ljubicic played in Cologne.

Schalke have underpinned their promotion ambitions by signing former Bundesliga striker Dzeko (39/AC Fiorentina) and goalkeeper Müller (34/1. FC Heidenheim).

“He is an outstanding player, the mix of skills and mentality makes him so special,” Jürgen Klopp explained about Andy Robertson as Liverpool coach in 2022. Robertson was appointed under Klopp, but this is not the case with his successor, Arne Slot. That’s why the full-back could now leave the Reds.

As “The Athletic” reports, Tottenham Hotspur is working on signing the 31-year-old. The special thing: Robertson’s contract expires in the summer, he could leave Liverpool for free and also collect a lot of money. According to the magazine, all parties should talk to each other to reach an agreement.
