So far, VR46 has only won three MotoGP races, all of which were thanks to former racer Marco Bezzecchi. Since winning at Buddh, the Ducati satellite team has gone almost 50 series without reaching the top of the podium.
“It’s always very difficult to show your best performance on all MotoGP tracks. It feels very nice to win,” said Rossi Sky Italia.
“We’ve done it in the past, with Bezzecchi in our second year. Although getting on the podium is great, finishing in front of all the other riders in the premier class is the best, something special, so that’s our new target,” said the former nine-time world champion.
VR46 finished MotoGP 2025 in third place in the team standings, behind Gresini and champion Ducati. Diggia and Morbidelli managed to achieve a total of only five podiums in the main race, amidst the dominance of Marc Marquez. Rossi revealed the obstacles of his riders.
“The level is very high and all the riders are very tight. The problem is that on one track everything goes smoothly, the bikes are fast, and the riders are competitive, but the next week, everything is the same but nothing matches anymore,” Valentino Rossi add.
