Rasmus Dahlin: Game-Winning Goal for Sabres

Swedish Rasmus Dahlin managed to score two goals as Buffalo took home the victory against Philadelphia with 5-2 in the night’s NHL.

Dahlin was the first to score in the tenth minute of the match. Just a few minutes later, American teammate Mattias Samuelsson further strengthened the lead, played by Swedish Noah Östlund.

In the second period, Dahlin stepped forward again and scored the 4–1 goal. After the match, the 25-year-old was named one of the evening’s best players. Even so, he wasn’t completely satisfied afterwards. Although Buffalo was victorious, the team only had 14 shots on goal, compared to losing Philadelphia’s 22.

– Today we scored on them, but that’s an area we have to improve on, and we can’t be happy with 14 shots. We need bigger volumes, says Dahlin according to nhl.com.

The victory is Buffalo’s 14th of the last 16 games played.

Dahlin has been selected for the Swedish Olympic squad for the games in Milan and Cortina next month.
