PSIR Goalkeeper: Lifetime Ban for Kung Fu Kick – PSSI Action

SEMARANG, KOMPAS.TV – The PSSI Central Java Disciplinary Committee has sentenced PSIR Rembang goalkeeper Raihan Alfariq to a lifetime ban from playing.

Raihan was given a life ban from playing after performing a Kung Fu kick on Persikaba Blora player Rizal Dimas Agesta.

The Kung Fu kick occurred in the PSIR match against Persikaba which ended in a goalless draw at the Krida Rembang Stadium.

In that match, the referee did not give any penalty to Raihan. However, footage of the incident that occurred in the 70th minute went viral on social media.

The Central Java PSSI Disciplinary Commission immediately took action by imposing this punishment.

In its letter, the Central Java PSSI Disciplinary Commission led by Samuel Evan Haryono gave Raihan a lifetime ban from playing.

Raihan was deemed to have lifted his leg excessively, thereby injuring Rizal Dimas Avesta.

“This deliberate action could threaten the safety of others,” said the PSSI Central Java Disciplinary Committee’s decision letter.

Apart from receiving a ban from playing within PSSI, Raihan will also receive an administrative fine.

Chairman of Asprov PSSI Central Java, Yoyok Sukawi, on his official Instagram account, expressed his support for the decision.

“I fully support and respect the Disciplinary Committee’s decision. Player safety is the main priority,” he wrote on social media, Thursday (22/1/2026).

“There must be no compromise on actions that endanger and injure sportsmanship.”

Yoyok also hopes that this decision can be a reminder and lesson so that the Central Java League 4 runs safely, fairly and civilized.

Meanwhile, PSIR Rembang goalkeeper Raihan Alfariq admitted that he was sorry and apologized for his act of performing a Kung Fu kick on Persikaba Blora player, Rizal Dimas Agesta.

“I am fully aware and on my personal behalf, apologize for the incident that happened to one of the Persikaba Blora players on behalf of Rizal Dimas Agesta,” said Raihan.

He admitted that the incident that occurred was purely a reflex. Raihan also admitted that he had absolutely no intention of injuring Rizal.
