The Mediterranean Games “Pristina 2030”, the 21st edition of this international sporting event to be held in Kosovo and the region, will present a wide-ranging sports program with 24 sports disciplines on the programme. The list includes internationally recognized sports, including traditional Olympic disciplines and some new disciplines.
These sports include: athletics, boxing, judo, karate, weightlifting, wrestling, swimming, water polo, sailing, shooting, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, handball, 3×3 basketball, fencing, cycling (road and mountain biking), gymnastics (artistic and rhythmic), badminton, karate, taekwondo, weightlifting and other sports such as five-a-side football, which has been officially included and will replace traditional football for the Under 21s in this edition.
In addition to the main sports, the Organizing Committee has reserved the possibility of adding 2-3 additional sports, such as Baseball5, Canoe Sprint, Kickboxing or skating, depending on the proposals that will be accepted later.
This multi-dimensional program represents one of the broadest sporting offerings in the history of the Mediterranean Games and continues the organizers’ vision of an inclusive and dynamic sporting event.
