With Fafe, FC Porto and Torreense already qualified, all that remains is to know who will qualify in the match between AVS SAD and Sporting.

In the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup, the draw held this Thursday in Cidade do Futebol dictated that Fafe will host Torreense, while FC Porto will visit the winner of AVS SAD – Sporting, which is scheduled for February 3rd.
O FC Portoisolated leader of the I Liga, prevailed over rival Benfica, 1-0, to secure one of the places in the semi-finals, together with the ‘secondary’ Torreense, from the II Liga, who beat União de Leiria, from the same level, and the ‘giant’ Fafe, from League 3, ‘executioner’ of Sporting de Braga.
O Torreense, eighth in the II League, they are in the semi-finals for the second time, 70 years after reaching the Cup final, in 1955/56, when they were beaten in the decision by FC Porto (2-0).
O Fafefourth in Series A of League 3, reaches this stage for the third time, repeating the achievements of 1976/77 and 1978/79, having then been beaten by FC Porto and Sporting, respectively.
The ‘semi’, which will no longer be played over two legs from next season, are originally scheduled for March 3rd to 5th and April 21st to 23rd, while the final of the 86th edition of the Portuguese Cup will be played on May 24th.
