On January 24th around 4:30 p.m. there was a physical altercation between two groups of young people in Bad Münstereifel in the area of ​​a local park on Schleidtalstrasse. A witness initially noticed a group of five to six young people. Shortly afterwards, a blue car drove into the parking lot there. Six young males got out of the vehicle and approached the other group. As a result, a fight broke out between the two groups, in which one person briefly fell to the ground. The argument lasted about two minutes. The groups then moved away from each other. One group got into the car and fled in an unknown direction, the other walked towards the city center. The witness then called the police. In the area of ​​the Bad Münstereifel train station, police officers were able to find two minors involved. Another witness also came forward who had observed two other people getting on a train. During the escape, one of the people threw away a brass knuckles. The witness was also able to take a baseball bat from someone. Both items were then handed over to police officers. The two other minors involved could be found on the train. All four people were uninjured. The baseball bat and brass knuckles were seized. The parents of the minors involved, aged 14, 15 and twice 16, from Euskirchen and the Rhein-Sieg district were informed of the facts. The young people were then handed over to their legal guardians. Corresponding reports of dangerous bodily harm were made.
