Venue Upgrades and Cultural Exhibition Honor the Father of Chinese Badminton
Competition takes place from November 3 to November 8, with the first three days consisting of group play and the final three days featuring the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. The main venue in Nan’an has completed professional upgrades aligned with Badminton World Federation standards. Organizers have also established a permanent Wang Wenjiao exhibition adjacent to the specialized badminton facility to showcase the life and career of the Nan’an native. Wang, who left Indonesia in the 1950s to return to China, served as head coach and drove the formation of both the Fujian and national badminton teams, guiding Chinese players to 56 individual world titles and nine team world championships.
Strict Officiating Standards and Rankings Points Draw Elite Youth Entries
Competition matches strictly follow the latest Badminton World Federation rules, using single-elimination formats across all five disciplines. International and national-grade referees form the officiating staff following multiple rounds of preparatory training. The event offers a total purse of $20,000, with tournament champions earning up to 4,000 ranking points toward their world standings.
Visual Identity and Historic Dedication Shape Tournament Brand
Organizers unveiled the official visual identity during the briefing, featuring a blue-toned logo shaped like a shuttlecock that traces a narrative from ocean to city to sporting ethos. The tournament slogan translates as “Carrying the Badminton Torch, Success Has Its Way,” connecting Wang’s national contribution with the local historical legacy of Koxinga. The official mascot, Chen Xiaoyu, adopts a youth-oriented cartoon design modeled after Koxinga, incorporating a traditional helmet, cape, and shuttlecock motifs.
