Four days after its defeat in the EuroLeague against AS Monaco (95-87), Paris Basketball regained color this Sunday in the championship. In this shock at the top of the table, the Parisians ended up breaking the Le Mans lock (110-92). Hanging for a while, Francesco Tabellini’s team continued in the second half.
An exciting crossover and a fiercely contested first half
From the start of the match, the tone was set. The two teams went blow for blow. If Paris Basketball was able to rely on the effectiveness of Jeremy Morgan (24 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist) to avoid losing ground, the Manceaux relied on rear traction Trevor Hudgins (28 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists) – Shannon Bogues (10 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists) to maintain a slight advantage.
This crossover continued throughout the first half. The MSB initially distanced itself before the tide turned. More aggressive in defense and efficient in transition, the Parisians finished this second quarter better. Thanks to this run initiated two minutes before half-time, the men of Francesco Tabellini were very serious and concentrated to return to the locker room with a 5-length lead over the catchy Sarthois (48-43, 20′).
A life-saving Nadir Hifi awakening for Paris
Shy in the first half, Nadir Hifi (19 points, 1 rebound and 4 assists) set the sights and took responsibility in important moments to guide his team. Despite this Parisian acceleration, the Sarthois did not panic. Still as sharp, Trevor Hudgins continued his offensive recital, allowing MSB to stay in contact with Paris (66-66, 27′).
A return to the score of the Le Mans team which provoked the anger of Francesco Tabelliniforced to take a time-out to remobilize his troops. Still in front after 30 very intense minutes (75-73), Paris Basketball was able to maintain the advantage until the end.

“Important to take this match”
Valiant, Guillaume Vizade’s men could only note the Parisian superiority this Sunday evening at the Adidas Arena. A big success with the final score of 110 to 92 which confirms that the Parisian team was able to release its frustration after its defeat in the EuroLeague four days earlier against Monaco.
“Our start to the match was not convincing”admits Nadir Hifi at the microphone of DAZN. « OIt took me a while to get into it. In the second half, we were able to impose our game, run, protect the rebound and find good situations. It allowed us to be dominant. It’s important for us to win this kind of match, especially since it’s complicated in the EuroLeague. Le Mans is a good team, well coached, so it’s important to take it. »
