Sunday January 18, at Parnasse, part of the afternoon was Blue during these Indoor World Series. Nîmes’ Victoria Sebastian won gold and her French teammate, Lisa Barbelin, won bronze.
However, it was not a Usam Nîmes handball match but, this Sunday afternoon, Parnasse was electric during the Indoor World Series finals. A melting section of the stand which encouraged and pushed its French women. On the shooting range, almost the best in France, for women, was presented at the moment.
Two potential internationals and, in the applause, the Nîmese Victoria Sebastian who, in the hearts of the supporters, logically supplants Lisa Barbelin (Riom). The latter, in bronze at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, opened the afternoon, in classic, and closed her small final, with a victory against the Czech Horackova who, decidedly, the French did not succeed, beaten in the half by Sebastian.

”I’m very, very happy with myself, very proud of what I did, it was fluid, light”advanced Barbelin, victorious in Nîmes, in 2022. Led 2-4, Riomoise finished with two ”29” against a ’27” and a ”28” for his opponent. Enough to leave with the bronze around your neck. This high-flying duel was, however, only the aperitif. With an appetite, the Nîmes public was asking for more, not satisfied.
Place for the main course and a final where the next generation of the discipline took place. At the age of 21, Victoria Sebastian was opposed to… her younger sister, the Mexican Angela Ruiz, 19 years old. ”At the moment, Victoria is really made of steel, motivated”jubilant the sporting director of the ACN, Olivier Grillat, whose club also erased nine years of title drought at home, since the victory of Jean-Charles Valladont, in 2017.

After a ”28” on the first end, ”I set up my balance and it was in”explained, as we say hello, the ACN licensee, now in the running, after her success in Taipei (Taiwan), for the final victory of this Indoor World Series: ”It’s a goal and I will continue, in the next stages, to try to give the best of myself to win the final ranking (in Merida, then in Las Vegas, March 27-29)”.
In men’s recurve arch, the final was more international between the Spaniard Temino Mediel and the Taiwanese Chun-Heng. After a perfect barrage arrow – ”that’s a ”10””marveled the former ACN, Pierre Plihon, the Iberian world champion won the bet, and the €5,000 that goes with it.
