Lescure Judokas: Medal Winners – 81 Martial Arts

At the end of multi-generational training organized recently by President Guillaume Cousinié and led by Maxime Benoît, teacher within the AML81, the French Judo Federation, through its committee, awarded the France Judo silver medal (Master Awazu Medal) to two judokas from the club. Marcel Jeanne, professor and regional referee, was awarded this medal by Bernard Alibert, head of the committee’s distinctions commission, in the presence of its president Yannick Maffre. The latter, himself a licensed judoka within the club and former president of AML81, also received this distinction. It was given to him by Madame Claudette Delpoux, founder of the club, in a particularly symbolic and emotional moment. The evening took place in the presence of many judokas friends of the club, notably those from Villefranche-de-Rouergue and Arthès, represented by its president Thierry Joseph, as well as members of the association’s office. Élisabeth Claverie, mayor of Lescure-d’Albigeois, was also present and praised the dynamism and commitment of the club, which will soon celebrate its fiftieth anniversary.
