Gines will once again position itself as a benchmark at the sporting level with the celebration, this coming Saturday, January 10, of an outstanding day of judo that will bring together high-level training and state-level competition.
The event, organized with the collaboration of the Gines City Council, the Andalusian Federation of Judo and DA (FANJYDA) and the Royal Spanish Judo Federation, will take place in the Covered Pavilion and will attract athletes, technicians and fans from different parts of Spain.
International judo seminar
On the one hand, the Seminar “Technical review of the Kodokan/IJF from international experience. Technique and female leadership in judo” will be held, focusing on the work of Katame Waza (ground control techniques).
The seminar will be given by judoka Daniela Krukower, 7th Dan black belt, instructor at the IJF Academy, world champion in Osaka 2003 and Olympic diploma in Athens 2004, which makes her one of the great international references of women’s judo.
Spanish Junior Championship – South Sector Phase
In parallel, Gines will also host the Spanish Junior Championship – Southern Sector Phase of this sport, a key official competition within the national calendar, in which the best judokas in this category belonging to the communities of southern Spain will participate in their fight to qualify for the Spanish Championship.
The event will bring together numerous clubs, athletes and technical teams, turning Gines into a meeting point for high-level young judo and generating an important sporting and social impact in the municipality.
With all this, the City Council invites citizens to attend and enjoy a day that will make the municipality a must-see event for lovers of this sport.
