Judo: Bafile & Lamolinara Win Bronze, Qualify for World Masters Olbia

L’AQUILA – The sporting successes of the Asd Jujitsu Academy of L’Aquila continue uninterruptedly on the national Judo scene, with results thanks to which the people of L’Aquila will be protagonists in the highly anticipated 2017 masters world championship, which will take place in Italy for the first time.

In fact, in the month of September, Olbia will host the most important event in the world for the Master class of judo and with these tests the two athletes from L’Aquila have obtained qualification for the world championships.

The black belt Francesco Bafilewon the bronze medal in Padua on April 30th during the second stage of the Italian Masters Championship, facing a pool of tough athletes ahead of the international events.

In the decisive match, Bafile defeated his opponent with his special technique, ending the fight after only a handful of seconds.

Business also for Moses Lamolinarawho had already come close to a medal at the Padua tournament but did not give up and went on to win the bronze in Udine on May 20th at the third stage of the Italian masters championship.

The decisive match was won by Lamolinara during the ground fighting phase, causing his opponent to surrender with a joint lock on the elbow.

“Lamolinara had narrowly missed the medal in Padua and stubbornly went to get it back in Udine, this example of tenacity, this desire to win is transmitted by our top athletes to the young students; Bafile’s performance is now a constant: he has won 4 medals in the last 4 races held at national level”, these are the words of the technical director Giampaolo Petrollinivery satisfied with the results obtained by his athletes.

Francesco Bafile, Moses Lamolinara and all the technical staff are therefore already working so that the L’Aquila judo team of the Jujitsu Academy can be protagonists at the world championships in Sardinia.
