Internazionale did good business in the Serie A on Friday. Low-flyer Pisa, after a really bad start, was eventually defeated 6-2. With the victory, Inter consolidates its leading position in Italy.
Inter is having a strong run in their own country, but that excellent form was initially not noticeable on Friday evening. The extremely effective Pisa, which is nineteenth in Serie A, surprised friend and foe by scoring twice in the opening phase. Stefano Moreo scored both goals. He found the net in both minutes eleven and 23.
There was great fear in the San Siro. After the double, Inter woke up with a start. It took a while before the tying goal was scored, but just before half time the Italian top club still put things in order. Piotr Zielínski scored from eleven meters, after which Lautaro Martínez and Francesco Pio Esposito lifted the score to 3-2 before half time.

Stefan de Vrij, who has been on the bench more often than he would like in recent weeks, played the entire match.
With the victory, Inter climbs to 52 points. Arch-rival and pursuer AC Milan, which still has one match in hand, follows at an appropriate distance with 46 points.
