Inter 6-2 Pisa: Comeback Victory & Score Highlights

In this Serie A, every distraction it can be very expensive. Inter, called upon to take home the three points with Pisa to take advantage of potential missteps by Milan or Napoli, are hit twice cold from Gilardino’s eleven. Moreo’s brace sent the Nerazzurri into disarray for a few minutes, as they struggled to overcome an inspired Scuffet and the attentive Tuscan defence. To reopen the game handball by Tramoni who sends Zielinski to the spot but the end of the first half is a solo from Beneamata, who scores three goals in eight minutes overturning Pisa. Less intense second half but Pisa manages to raise their heads and come close to equalising. In the end, however, first Dimarco, the new entry Bonny and Mkhitaryan definitively close the accounts with the Tuscans. Inter then moves on to plus six points over Milan: the Rossoneri and Napoli have the task of keeping up.

Choc Moreo then Inter overturns Pisa

The Meazza audience welcomes their favorites in this unusual preview of Friday evening with the dual objective to put the defeat in the Champions League against Arsenal behind us and take advantage of the dangerous encounters between Milan and Napoli over the weekend. Chivu’s eleven’s approach to the match is immediate very aggressivewith Pisa forced to entrench themselves in their own penalty area to resist the offensive gusts of the home team. If the Tuscans struggle to keep the ball for more than a few passes, Inter do not create opportunities worthy of the name. As often happens in football, the first mistake It’s very expensive to the Beloved: Sommer gets confused when he leaves his area, giving the ball to Moreo who hits it with a precise and mocking lob into an empty net. Inter were hit to the core goes wild in search of an equalizer but in a very confused and not very concrete way: in the 13th minute it was Luis Henrique who stumbled instead of immediately shooting on goal when he received a nice ball from Mkhitaryan. A few minutes later it was Bisseck’s turn to make his way into the Pisa area and send the ball to nothing from the goal defended by Scuffet. The Tuscans, however, did not sit idly by and became dangerous with a cross from Angori to Touré who called Carlos Augusto into intervention. The corner kick is still fatal at Inter: on Tramoni’s return shot it is once again the former Brescia player Moreo who beats everyone to the punch and scores his personal brace into the bottom of the bag.

Moment really complicated for Inter, as can be seen from the stomp that Lautaro gives to a player from Pisa, earning him a yellow for the trouble. If Meister ends up on the ground, making Gilardino furious, Inter continue push hardcoming close to making it 1-2. In the 32nd minute Sucic overlapped Luis Henrique with a perfect cross for Lautaro: the captain, however, with nothing left from the empty net, he can’t get there. A couple of minutes later Chivu decides to shuffle the cards: a disappointing Luis Henrique out, soundly caught by Meazza, space for Dimarco, with Carlos Augusto passing on the right. There turning point of the match arrives in the 37th minute, when Tramoni instinctively raises his arm and deflects Zielinski’s shot on goal: Mr. Marcenaro notices it and points to the diskette. After a long check by the VAR for a possible foul by Carlos Augusto, it is the Pole who appears from eleven metres, wrong-footing Scuffet and reopening the game. Gilardino’s eleven skidded and Inter were not invited twice: a tense cross from Dimarco who put the ball right on the head of Lautaro Martinez, who he really can’t go wrong. If the Tuscan coach is forced to insert the new signing Durosinmi in place of an injured Meister, Inter doesn’t want to take their foot off the accelerator. In full recovery, with Pisa in shock, Bastoni flies to the left and puts the ball towards Pio Esposito: a nice break and perfect header of the young blue striker. Three goals in eight minutes, Inter ahead at half-time.

Pisa tries, Inter spreads in the final

Upon returning from the changing rooms, two changes for Gilardino who recalls the booked Marin and the disappointing Tramoni to the bench to give space to Piccinini and Akinsanmiro. The ball of the game, however, remains firmly in the hands of Cristian Chivu’s eleven, who now seem capable of controlling the pace of this match at will. The pouring rain makes the Meazza turf even more complicated but this second half seems to have been played with much less nervous tension than the first half. Inter tried to secure the result: in the 55th minute Sucic sent a good ball to Lautaro Martinez who had time to stop and turn but before shooting he saw the ball snatched by Aebischer. The change of direction of the Milanese team is evident when yet another cross from the left by Carlos Augusto is headed towards the goal by Pio Esposito: the aim, however, is not that of the best opportunities. Horrible moment for Pisa with Scuffet denying the goal first to Pio Esposito, then to Dimarco with two not at all trivial saves. With his thoughts turning to the last day of the Champions League group, Chivu is cautious by bringing in Thuram and Barella in place of Pio Esposito and Sucic. The Nerazzurri continue to insistently seek the 4-2 but Scuffet is always on the ball: after having surpassed Thuram, it takes a providential deflection from Calabresi to divert Dimarco’s empty-net shot onto the post.

Inter Pisa Pio Esposito

Pisa is unable to show up in Sommer’s area and still suffers attacks from the Milanese players: in the 68th minute a rebound between Lautaro and Coppola harms Mkhitaryan’s right-footed shot but the Armenian midfielder shoots very high over the crossbar. Gilardino completes the changes in the 70th minute by inserting Leris and Lorran in place of Angori and Aebischer but it is Inter who continue to attack: Carlos Augusto’s counter-ball, however, is still imprecise. Three minutes later Pisa threatens a draw again, showing up with Leris’ right-footed shot: quite insidious but too central to surprise Sommer. A couple of minutes later the good ball comes from Canestrelli who hits the cross well but fails to get it on target. On the reverse, De Vrij manages to transform Barella’s cross into a left-footed shot that is too central. Chivu thinks about the match against Borussia on Wednesday and inserts Akanji and Bonny but Dimarco takes care of closing the score with the Tuscans: primed by a precise lob from Thuram, his great left-footed volley that kisses both posts before disappearing behind an innocent Scuffet. By now, Gilardino’s eleven can’t wait to get back to the locker room and Bonny takes advantage of it in a big way: the former Parma forward does everything on his own, discards everyone and beats Scuffet with a cross-footed left. In injury time there was also time to close the first set: Mkhitaryan definitively rounded the score to a very clear 6-2. Inter overturns Pisa and goes within six of Milan.
