Ibiza Judo: Mallorca New Year’s Training Camp

The Sant Jordi Judo Club participated from December 26 to 28 in the concert organized by the Madrid Judo Federation, in a high-level activity that brought together judokas from across the national and international scene.

An expedition from the club, made up of four athletes and a coach, headed to Madrid on December 25 to participate in this concentration, which was held at the Francisco Valcárcel Pavilion, headquarters of the Madrid Judo Federation. In total, nearly 400 judokas from all the autonomous communities, as well as international teams from Portugal and Sweden, gathered for three intense days of work.

The concentration was structured into five training sessions, in which the Ibizan judokas offered a very high performance, competing and training at the highest level and accumulating experience of great value for their sporting development.

From the Sant Jordi Judo Club they have highly valued “the attitude and commitment shown by the athletes, who on such important dates as Christmas decided to participate in this activity, setting an example of responsibility, effort and sporting ambition,” they applaud.

On the other hand, tomorrow, Friday, January 2, a new expedition from the Ibiza Judo Delegation, made up of nine athletes and a coach, will travel to Mallorca to participate in the New Year’s concentration organized by the Balearic Judo Federation, which will take place at the Sports Technique Center of the Balearic Islands until Sunday the 4th and will also consist of five training sessions.

“These activities reinforce the commitment of Ibizan judo to the training, constant work and continuous improvement of its athletes,” highlights Juan Francisco Blázquez Mayans, president of the Sant Jordi Judo Club and island delegate of the Ibiza Judo Delegation.
