Galatasaray Qualifies for Champions League Despite City Loss

In the 8th week of the UEFA Champions League, Galatasaray faced Manchester City away.

MANCHESTER CITY STOPPED THE MATCH IN THE FIRST HALF

Host Manchester City started the match played at Etihad Stadium quickly with the goal scored by Haaland in the 10th minute.

Having difficulty balancing the game in the first half, Galatasaray managed to fend off Manchester City’s pressure for a while, but Rayan Cherki scored the goal to double the difference in the 29th minute.

After Doku, who assisted both goals, was replaced by Foden in the 37th minute due to injury, Manchester City’s momentum slowed down a bit.

While the first half ended with Manchester City leading 2-0, Galatasaray started the second half with front-court pressure.

While Pep Guardiola’s team tried to punish Galatasaray with transition opportunities by waiting behind the ball, the Yellow-Reds managed to create a threat from time to time in the Manchester City goal with Osimhen.

As we entered the final section, both teams slowed down the tempo.
