Feyenoord Transfer: Dutch Football Stunned

Dennis te Kloese is currently general manager and technical director at Feyenoord. However, starting next season we may be dealing with new faces. With unexpected new faces.

Max Huiberts the new technical director of Feyenoord?

In Today Inside says presenter Wilfred Genee to sports marketer Chris Woerts: “You have come to tell us who the new technical director of Feyenoord will be…” Woerts: “Feyenoord has now reached the point where they realize that the functions of technical director and general manager must be separated.”

The marketer has actually ‘heard something’: “I keep saying it, but there is a dream duo available. Those names are already buzzing around in the corridors at Feyenoord: Max Huiberts and Robert Eenhoorn.” Genee is surprised: “Seriously?” Johan Derksen chimes in: “Eenhoorn will one day become director of Feyenoord.” Woerts: “Absolutely, but he is taking Max with him.”

It would be quite a stunt if the Rotterdammers manage to get Huiberts to De Kuip. His name was mentioned at Ajax, before it joined forces with Jordi Cruijff, but the current ‘td’ of AZ. On the club website of the Alkmaarders, the policymaker said about his departure: “AZ deserves someone who can put the same energy into it over a longer period of time in the coming years. I notice that after more than ten years in this demanding role, there is a need to take more time for my family in the near future and to distance myself from the football world after this season.”

The Telegraph then added: “A transfer to Feyenoord, where general manager Dennis te Kloese still combines his duties with those of technical director, is also not an option.” Will Huiberts now start working in South Rotterdam after all?
