FC Lorient U12s Try Badminton in Ploemeur | Sport Study

The badminton section of the Ploemeur Secular Association welcomed, Monday January 19, 2026, the U12 group of sport-studies from FC Lorient for a discovery session. Supervised by Mathy, coach of the badminton section, and accompanied by young competitors from the club, the young footballers enthusiastically experienced their first contact with the racket and shuttlecock. A fun and educational initiation which aroused curiosity and commitment among the participants. “This partnership is part of a six-week cycle during which the U12s will work on the fundamentals of badminton. Coordination, tactics and strategy will be at the heart of the sessions, while developing mastery of strength, joint mobility, alertness and flexibility. A great initiative which illustrates the interest of multisport practice in the training of young athletes and strengthens the links between local sports structures”, underlined Tatiana Sigris, president, and Gérard Vioulès, former president and coach at the section.
