Friday January 23from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at the Don Uva facility Powerwill be held onevent “Active Self-Determination – Inclusion 2.0”, an initiative dedicated to promoting a new vision of inclusion, based on conscious participation, personal choice and the active protagonism of people with emotional-relational fragility.
“You are not included because you are admitted, but because you decide”: this the message that guides the meeting, which places sport at the center as an educational, relational and social tool, capable of generating autonomy, dignity and belonging.
The event is organized with the collaboration of Universo Salute Basilicata – Opera Don Uva, FISDIR Basilicata, CSEN Basilicata and the Social Area of the LND Basilicata, with the participation of the CIP Basilicata, the LND Basilicata, the Youth and School Sector, the Italian Badminton Federation, the University of Basilicata and the Nuovo Circolo Tennis Potenza.
The program includes, at 3.00 pm, an institutional round table on the theme “Active self-determination: sport as a space for choice, dignity and participation”, with the contribution of representatives of regional health, sports and social institutions, guarantors, managers and sector managers.
The conclusions will be entrusted to President of the Basilicata Region, Vito Bardi.
Starting from 4pmin the new gym of the Don Uva structure, demonstrative and inclusive activities will take place, with moments of adapted sport, practical demonstrations and shared participation between athletes, operators and institutions.
The activities represent the symbolic start of a stable and continuous path of active protagonism, which uses sport as an educational and therapeutic lever.
“Active Self-Determination – Inclusion 2.0” intends to promote a model of concrete, sustainable and replicable inclusion, in which fragility is recognized as a value, sport becomes a universal language and people are protagonists, not simply recipients of interventions.
A first step towards an educating community, capable of generating well-being, autonomy and active citizenship.
