Eren Dinkçi Loan: FCH Move Confirmed!

1. FC Heidenheim 1846 is strengthening its offensive: Eren Dinkçi, who was very successful for FCH in the Bundesliga premiere season 2023/24 (11 goals and 6 assists in 34 competitive games), will move from SC Freiburg to Heidenheim on loan until the end of the season.

“As we know, Eren has already proven to us what extraordinary footballing qualities he has on the offensive and that he is a perfect fit for us as a person. We are convinced that his signing will strengthen our team until the end of the season and we would like to thank SC Freiburg for making this loan a reality,” explains FCH CEO Holger Sanwald.

Eren Dinkçi began his football career at SV Hemelingen. From the summer of 2019, the 1.88 meter tall player went to SV Werder Bremen – first in the U19 and then in the second team, before he made his debut with the professionals in the 2020/2021 season, for whom he made a total of 50 appearances in the Bundesliga, the 2nd Bundesliga and the DFB Cup at a young age.

Eren Dinkçi already played for 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 in the 2023/24 season. At that time, the now 24-year-old came on loan from SV Werder Bremen. With ten goals and five assists in the Bundesliga as well as one goal and one assist each in the DFB Cup, Dinkçi made a huge impact and played a key role in Heidenheim’s achievement of eighth place in the Bundesliga’s debut season. Following this season, he moved from Werder Bremen to SC Freiburg, where he signed a long-term contract. Over the past year and a half, Eren Dinkçi has appeared for Freiburg 36 times (one goal, four assists) in the Bundesliga, the DFB Cup and the Europa League. During this time, in September 2024, he was also nominated for the Turkish senior national team squad for the first time.

Eren Dinkçi said after signing his contract on Friday: “I’m very happy to be back at FCH. Regardless of whether it’s at the club or in the surrounding area – I felt very comfortable in Heidenheim, which was a very important aspect in my decision to take this loan. I now want to repay the trust that has been placed in me with good performances and help the team as best as I can until the end of the season in order to stay in the league again!”
