PERSIS announced a new recruit, namely striker from Brazil, Clayton. This former Brazil U23 national team player will defend Laskar Sambernyawa until the end of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League season. It is hoped that Clayton’s arrival will add to Laskar Sambernyawa’s attack line. Before joining PERSIS, Clayton played for Diamond Harbor in the Indian competition.
Clayton expressed his happiness at being able to join PERSIS. He can’t wait to immediately play for Laskar Sambernyawa in front of the audience.
“I am very happy to be here, I thank you for being given the opportunity to be part of PERSIS. I will fight as hard as I can for this club,” said Clayton, Tuesday (27/1).
Clayton is optimistic that his presence can bring EXACT out of the relegation zone. The main purpose of coming to Solo was to keep Laskar Sambernyawa in place Super League.
“Yes, for this season the important thing now is not to get relegated. And I will do my best for the club, help my friends with assist and goals to win the game,” he explained.
Furthermore, he asked his teammates to continue to be confident and believe that EXACTLY they can get through this bad momentum. Clayton also hopes that support from supporters will add to the club’s strength.
“We have to stay together, play together to do our best for the club. For my friends, we have to try our best every day in training until the match. I will do my best on and off the pitch so that the club will be better this season,” he explained.
“And for the audience, keep supporting us whatever happens. We will do our best for PERSIS. Because this is my first experience in Indonesia and I know about this club, I have many friends they told me, and I will do my best for the audience and I hope you can come to the stadium to support the team,” he concluded.
