Durfort Archery: 10 Years of Berniquaut Club History

The small world of archery met last Saturday to celebrate the club’s tenth anniversary in the presence of Madame Housseau, senator of Tarn, and Jérôme Garcia, deputy mayor of Revel.

The current president François Cuisinier retraced with his wife Christine, the history and origin of the Landelle archers who, after 23 years of installation in Palleville, had to leave this site to be welcomed at the rural home of Durfort. Thus was born on December 29, 2015 the Company of Archers of Berniquaut. It has 50 members.

The communication aspect was addressed by Mr. Vadet. He evokes the influence of the association, referenced on the Durfort and Soreze sites, local festivals, the Telethon, internet, Facebook and the new email address.

Adapting to the population is the path mentioned by Robinson Couton He announces the creation of a section for chicks aged 8 to 12 years under the guidance of a manager and a junior section for former chicks.

The crux of the matter is obviously the search for funding. Archery is an expensive sport for the archers and the club. The president would like subsidies based on the archers’ place of residence. Members who leave the club due to lack of resources are a loss for everyone. We have to welcome new people.

It was up to Jérôme Garcia and Ms. Housseau to conclude this anniversary meeting by affirming their support and congratulating all the volunteers, supervisors and practitioners. Their sport is a model of concentration and precision.
