Archers from Sesto Fiorentino are bringing precision target shooting to the fifth weekend of the pumpkin and straw festival at Villa Montalvo in Campi Bisenzio, offering hands-on trials for adults and children aged eight and older against themed bales and gourds. The demonstrations anchor the latest chapter of the seasonal attraction, which runs through Nov. 1, 2026, offering visitors a mix of traditional harvest displays and outdoor activities across the park grounds.
The visiting archers set up their stations on Saturday and Sunday, providing bows and instruction for novices testing the discipline against straw targets and large pumpkins. The activity operates within the park’s designated recreation zones alongside ongoing circus acts, bubble shows, and theatrical performances staged on massive straw bales.
Villa Montalvo Opens Weekends with Tiered Ticket Pricing
The theme park opens its doors each weekend from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, though specific activity areas maintain separate operational schedules. While the food court, Luna Park attractions, and straw sculpture displays remain accessible until closing time at 8 p.m., the entertainment and creative workshop zones wrap up at 6 p.m.

Ticket pricing varies by category, with adult general admission priced at €12 and reduced tickets available at €10 for children aged five to 12, visitors over 65, and disability support companions. Family packages are offered at €30, which covers two adults and one child. Entry is free for children aged four and under as well as visitors with disabilities. The organizers confirmed that once inside the gates, nearly all activities—excluding the Luna Park rides—are included with the admission price.
Straw Sculptures and Creative Workshops
Beyond the archery range, this year’s edition of the festival introduces large-scale structural displays crafted entirely from straw bales, complementing thousands of harvested pumpkins in various shapes and shades. Visitors walking the park grounds can also participate in interactive programs including a butterfly labyrinth, traditional wooden games, apiculture workshops, pumpkin painting, and a park-wide treasure hunt.

For dining, an indoor street food area provides Tuscan specialties and snacks throughout the day, while the amusement sector features children’s rides and inflatables. Organizers confirmed that the event continues rain or shine, as all pathways are laid with gravel to remain dry, and workshops and performances move into large indoor shelters during inclement weather.
