Didier Dinart: Facts, Ivry, & Montenegro’s Euro Journey

Since January 2023, Didier Dinart has been the coach of US Ivry, one of the historic bastions of French handball. But for months he and his club have been torn apart. Reconciliation is impossible. In the fall, players from the club relegated at the end of last season to Proleague, D 2, led a revolt against the former coach of the Blues, world champions in 2017. They accused him of “toxic management” and demanded his departure. The club has launched an internal investigation to determine the reality of certain accusations. In particular the one which claims that the coach on sick leave still managed Montenegro in parallel.

An accusation forcefully rejected by his counsel, Me Anthony Mottais: “Didier Dinart was never at fault during his sick leave any more than all the players ganged up against him. We are far from the supposed unanimity. » “The club notified him that it no longer wished to see him coach the team,” continues the lawyer of the former “Expert”. His exclusion was violent. Mr. Didier Dinart therefore decided to take the matter to court. »
