Corella inaugurates its I CaniCross with sport and animal awareness

This past Sunday, January 25, the first edition of the CaniCross Corellaa day that combined sport and animal awareness and brought together around 50 participants in the La Estanca area.

The event marked the premiere of this test in the town and had a notable participation in both the sports competitions and the parallel awareness-raising activities.

The day began at 10:00 hours with the Bikejoring test, a discipline in which a cyclist, linked by a rope to a dog, must complete a joint route.

The circuit had a distance of 5 kilometers and served as the starting signal for a morning marked by the good atmosphere and coexistence between participants and the audience.

After finishing the Bikejoring, at 10:45 am the test was disputed CaniCrossin which the runners, accompanied by their dogs, ran along the route prepared for the occasion.

Both tests focused the attention of the attendees and highlighted dog sport as an activity that promotes physical exercise and the bond between people and animals.

Awards ceremony in the Plaza de los Fueros

Once the sports competitions are over, at 12:00 hours was held in the Plaza de los Fueros of Corella the presentation of prizes to all the winners of the different categories.

The event served as the official closing of the day and brought together participants, organization and public in a festive atmosphere.

Responsible Adoption Awareness

In addition to the competition, the I CaniCross Corella was attended by the Adopta Navarra Associationwhich installed an information stand with the aim of raising awareness about the importance of responsible animal adoption.

The association was not limited only to informative work, since several dogs from the entity participated in the sports eventreinforcing the message of integration and awareness.

The Corella City Council wanted to thank the involvement of all collaborating entities, participants and attending publicwhich have contributed to this first edition of the CaniCross being considered a clear success.
