QUERÉTARO, Qro., January 24, 2026.- The state of Querétaro officially began the selective processes to form the delegations that will participate in the 2026 National Olympiad of the National Commission of Physical Culture and Sports (CONADE). Local athletes seek to qualify for the final stage that will be held between April and May in venues such as Guanajuato, Jalisco, Nayarit, Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Tlaxcala and Yucatán.

The objective of the entity is to have competitive representation in the 36 disciplines that make up the national call. In addition, Querétaro was designated the headquarters of region four to host the field tennis, table tennis, 5×5 basketball and 3×3 basketball competitions.

During this weekend the qualifiers for chess, association football, handball, weightlifting and sport climbing take place. The selections for skateboarding, baseball, athletics, indoor volleyball, boxing, judo, road cycling and breaking, among others, will be held soon. The classification systems vary by sport, in some cases granting direct passes to the final phase or advances to regional stages.
