Archery: Cie d’Étampes takes first place
They do not count their hours or their kilometers each weekend in order to participate in the selective competitions for the French championships. There were still many representatives of the Compagnie des Archers d’Étampes in the 2x18m room on January 10 and 11 in Lisses.
In this period which honors pancakes and kings, the Archers of the Royal City have once again enjoyed themselves, notably Romain Hubert (recurve bow U21) and Élodie Trioreau (senior compound bow 2) who took 1st place on the throne. Geneviève Grutsch (senior compound bow 2) and Mohamed Rihane (recurve bow U13) finished on the 2nd step of the podium while Lucie Campeaux (recurve bow U21) and Marion Hubert (recurve bow U15) took 3rd place in their respective category.
« These results once again illustrate the involvement of our Archers who take a lot of their time to perform and carry the colors of the Company high. There will also be many mobilized, shooters and volunteers, from February 6 to 8 for our big annual tournament at the Jean-Charles Valladont Shooting Center. We are very proud of our athletes and hope that several of them will be able to participate in the French championships on February 21/22 in Yzeure (Allier) for young people and from February 27 to March 1 in Paris for adults. », summarizes the Captain of the Company, Philippe Massy.
