The round of 16 of the 2025 African Cup of Nations continues this Monday, January 5. Egypt and Nigeria, two contenders for the coronation, face Benin and Mozambique respectively.

Mohamed Salah’s Pharaohs will be the first to play. Their eighth against Benin will kick off at 5 p.m. During the group stage, the Egyptians finished at the top of group B ahead of South Africa.

Benin ranked third in Group D behind Senegal and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Nigeria, which performed flawlessly and finished at the top of Group C ahead of Tunisia (eliminated this Saturday against Mali), faces Mozambique at 8 p.m.

The latter finished third in Group F behind Ivory Coast and Cameroon.
