Last night in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Robert Bloom and his Davidson Wildcats beat the George Washington Revolutionaries 84-79.
20-year-old Blum was the most productive player in the winning team. The Latvian spent 30 minutes on the pitch, during which he stood out with 21 points (1.p. 1/2; 2.p. 1/3; 3.p. 6/10), six rebounds, one assist, two fouls and two points.
For Bloom, a sophomore, it was the highest scoring game of his NCAA career to date. This season, he averaged 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, shooting 46.2% from the field and 38.1% from long range in 16 NCAA tournament games.
