For the second year in a row, the Pont-de-Salars badminton club immersed players in the spectacular world of Blackminton last weekend. In a room entirely plunged into darkness, punctuated by music and illuminated by ultraviolet lights, fluorescent shuttlecocks and grounds provided a setting as original as it was festive for this fun and dynamic discipline.
After a very encouraging first edition last year, the tournament confirmed its attractiveness by bringing together 28 teams from several local clubs this year. An increasing figure which testifies to the growing enthusiasm for this atypical meeting of the local badminton calendar.
Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was both competitive and friendly. The spectacular exchanges, colorful outfits and general good humor appealed to both experienced players and those discovering Blackminton for the first time. The organization, carried out by the club’s volunteers, was once again praised by all the participants.
Building on this new success and numerous positive feedback, the Pont-de-Salars badminton club confirms its desire to permanently include this Blackminton tournament among its flagship events. An original initiative which is gradually establishing itself as an unmissable and highly anticipated event in local sport.
