Arcieri Club Lido: Podium Finish & Results

January 13, 2026 12.30pm

In the sports facility in via Frangipane in Taverna, organized by the ASD Arcieri Club Lido sports club, the first Giuseppe Pascuzzi Memorial took place on Sunday 11 January 2026, an event strongly supported by the vice president of the company Poerio Pierà Edoardo.

In fact, he himself expressed appreciation for the participation despite the cold days of the weekend. The event directed by the GDG Socievole Eleonora was divided into two rounds of competition, at the end of which the archers of the Club Lido company brought home excellent results.

Anastasia Poerio Pierà wins the gold in the Junior compound division, accompanied by her teammate Sgotto Sofia who wins the gold in the Allieve Olympic division. Gold also for Poerio PIerà Alessandro in the naked bow and Lizzio Letizia in the same class and division. Sgotto Maurizio completes the medal list in the master naked bow.

The event saw the participation of athletes from various sports clubs, also coming from other Calabrian provinces.

At the end of the match, after the national anthem, the Vice President, on behalf of the entire club, handed over a souvenir parchment to Garofalo Maria, Pascuzzi’s wife to whom the sporting event was dedicated.

Edoardo, as vice president, demonstrated and praised the personal, human and sporting qualities of the sports delegate of the municipality of Taverna Giuseppe Pascuzzi ” Pepè – as Pascuzzi was called by everyone – was a point of reference for sport in Taverna, a sportsman who loved all disciplines, from volleyball to basketball – which he loved and practiced – but also many other sports, such as archery. Pepè, continues Edoardo Poerio Pierà, there was no shortage of opportunities to ask about the sporting results of our boys, he complimented everyone and it was the first call I received as soon as we learned of some national success of our team. Pepè was a true sportsman, he made no distinction between sportsmen, he was a person of healthy moral values, available, affable, someone who always found a solution to everything, in short, a Man of Sports.

Next week, on the 18th, we will organize another memorial, dedicated to two of our little fellow citizens who will always remain in our memory, Giorgia and Mattia – The Angels of Smiles.
