Archery Ventimiglia: San Bartolomeo Successes & Records

Ventimiglia. Start of the year in the name of archery, with the first indoor 18 meter competition of 2026 organized by the Arcieri di San Bartolomeo. Two separate days, one dedicated to the youth sector and one reserved for adults, which also saw the athletes of the Archery Club Ventimiglia as protagonists, including notable placings, debuts and a personal record.

On Monday 5 January, in the “Waiting for the Befana” event reserved for very young people up to the Junior category, several prominent results arrived. In the women’s Junior Olympics, Camilla Padova finished in second place, while Ludovica Maccario won in the women’s Junior Olympics. Among the boys, second place for Carlo Martin and third for Elia Gallucci, in his first competition on the 40 centimeter target. In the men’s Giovanissimi success for Giorgio Gallucci, second Leandro Franco in his second experience and fourth Gabriele Bergamasco, with the team awarded first place.

In the female Junior compound, Giulia Aloi won, ahead of Vittoria Bellan, making her debut in the Junior category. The athletes were accompanied by the instructors Ido Ferraldeschi and Laura Lorenzi, with the archer Michele Foti: a staff effort which, as underlined by them, aims to consolidate and further improve the performances of the young people.

On Tuesday 6 January, again in San Bartolomeo, the “Befana Trophy” took place, again on 18 meters and dedicated to adults. The Ventimiglia Archery Club presented itself with four archers. In the men’s Senior Olympic competition, Elia Barone achieved seventh place, also setting his personal best with 504 points. In the Senior women’s compound new success for Giulia Aloi, also rewarded for having faced two consecutive days of competition. In the men’s Master compound, second place went to Massimo Casanova Fuga and ninth to Mario Campagnolo, president of the Archery Club Ventimiglia.

The Ventimiglia-based club also thanks the Arcieri di San Bartolomeo for the organisation, defined as “perfect”, and for the celebratory diploma awarded during the awards ceremony on 5 January. Furthermore, 2026 will be a significant year for both associations: Archery Club Ventimiglia and Arcieri di San Bartolomeo will celebrate 45 years of activity. Next competitive event announced in Antibes, France.
