The Villefranche de Lonchat archery club “Les Flèches Pourpres” celebrated Christmas by organizing a Christmas shoot in the Villefranche-de-Lonchat sports hall located behind the primary school. On this occasion the members of the club were organized into teams of three archers with the goal being to score the most points by shooting at coats of arms representing Christmas trees decorated with numerous items, namely balls, candles, gifts, stars, etc. To add to the difficulty, a draw after the shooting defined the number of points that each item could bring in.
At the end of the shooting, a team was declared the winner and received their reward. After the effort…the comfort…all the archers gathered around a drink of friendship, recalling the next meetings: first of all the indoor competition (2 x 18m) selective for the French championships, which will be held in Montpon-Menestérol at the Massias gymnasium on Sunday January 11, 2026. Then on February 15, 2026 it will be nature shooting, selective for the French championships, which will be held like every year in Montpeyroux at the Domaine du Peycher, and finally field shooting, also selective for the French championships, which will take place in Montpeyroux on June 17, 2026. The archery club will take a well-deserved break and will now resume its activities at the start of the school year in January 2026. Contact: 06 60 25 30 44.
