Ants Basketball: Match Schedule & Highlights

NewTuscia – VITERBO – First match of the return round in the regional Serie C championship for Domus Mulieris who, on this Saturday 17 January, visits JR Basket Roma with the aim of extending the streak of successes that began before the Christmas break and continued seven days ago against Rome City.

The group led by coach Scaramuccia, victorious on that occasion despite having to deal with a few too many absences, will hunt for another two precious points to confirm themselves as the first pursuers of the league leaders Frecce Romane and to continue the chase for the best positions in view of the playoffs. The coach from Viterbo will not be able to count on Marigliano due to physical problems but will once again have the Bulgarian Stanislavova at his disposal who had to miss the match against Rome City.

The tap-off is scheduled for 6pm and the match direction will be entrusted to Tommaso Impagliazzo from Rome and Gianluca Giancola from Monterotondo (RM).

The challenge awaiting the Domus Mulieris under 19 team, also led by coach Carlo Scaramuccia, guest of San Raffaele in the second match of the second phase, is highly anticipated. The beautiful victory against Basket Roma confirmed the quality of a group that can also count on many protagonists of the A2 series championship, but now the test will be really tough because up front there will be a team that, also counting the first phase, is still undefeated like Frascati and aims to qualify for the national finals. A significant test for the yellow-blue girls, moreover in a facility that has traditionally always been very difficult to conquer.

The taproom of this challenge is scheduled for Monday 19 January at 7.45pm and the match direction will be entrusted to Eric Vesprini and Francesco Galati of Rome.

The only team to play at home will be the under 17 ItLogix, led by coaches Daniele Catalani and Stefano Paparozzi, playing on Tuesday 20 January against Frecce Romane in the fifth return day of the qualifying round. Only two points separate the two teams in the standings, with the Romans on 12 and Domus Mulieris on 10, but the precedent of the first leg, won 76-59 away by the yellow-blues, gives us hope. The tap-off is scheduled for 7.30pm and the referees will be Federico Di Gaetano and Vincenzo Di Peppo, both from Viterbo.
