RSC Anderlecht wants to participate in the Croky Cup for as long as possible in the second half of the season and is aiming for at least third place in the competition. Additional reinforcement is welcome for this. A new striker is high on the wish list.
The striker position has been calming the minds of the Brussels residents for a whole season. Initially, it seemed the intention was that Kasper Dolberg would remain on board as an attacking spearhead. But because the summer mercato threatened to turn into a loss, it was still liquidated at the end of August. Dolberg returned to Ajax for around 10 million euros.

TRANSFER HOUR: ‘Anderlecht decides on striker, Club fiasco’
Need extra striker
Partly because the transfer deadline was too close, no direct replacement was brought in for the Danish crowd favorite. RSCA had previously signed Adriano Bertaccini and the young Mihajlo Cvetkovic. However, the former immediately fell injured, while Cvetkovic was initially not considered ready for the big job. So the Purple & White played for a while with Luis Vazquez as their first striker.
However, the Argentinian was once again badly beaten and he has now been given the final chance. Bertaccini showed that he performs best next to another attacker. And so Cvetkovic was thrown to the lions after all. The young Serbian ultimately did a more than decent job, but is logically not yet able to carry the purple and white attack on his shoulders.
Rental deal in the making
Just before the winter break, coach Besnik Hasi openly called on the board to recruit a new striker in January. And the sporting management also seems to be planning to grant that wish. Bee The Last Hour it is now reported that Anderlecht will almost certainly resort to a rental deal. There are several reasons for this.
First of all, the financial aspect. The wage bill must be further reduced and a temporary salary carries much less weight. In addition, they do not want to block the development of Cvetkovic and Keisuke Goto, who will return from STVV in the summer. Finally, there may be some great opportunities available. With a view to a World Cup selection, several players will soon be (temporarily) looking for playing minutes. And RSCA could benefit from that. We will have to wait for concrete names for the time being.
