On January 15, 2026 the time has come: the Orlando Magic will meet the Memphis Grizzlies in the Uber Arena – and make history.
For the first time ever, an NBA regular season game will be played in Germany. Berlin becomes the center of the basketball world for one night.
The game will be particularly emotional for the Orlando Magic because, Franz and Moritz Wagner, there are two German national players on the floor for whom this match is like a home game.
The brothers grew up in Berlin, wore the ALBA BERLIN jersey in their youth and from there started their careers towards US college and NBA. With Tristan da Silva, another German is also part of the Magic squad.
But the Memphis Grizzlies also arrive with plenty of star power. This is the team’s fifth game on European soil. The squad is led by Ja Morant, a two-time NBA All-Star, and Jaren Jackson Jr., also a two-time All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season.
